Who we are

Founded in 2002, the Pedro and Elena Hernández Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to recovering and conserving the enormous natural wealth of Mexico by focusing on the role of human beings and their communities.

Protecting nature is protecting life itself. It means taking action for the present and for the future. It is to preserve our greatest capital and heritage: water, air, flora, fauna, and the habitat of all species that give us life itself.

The Pedro and Elena Hernández Foundation was created to support and operate environmental conservation and recovery projects, as well as those devoted to community development, directly or through associated organizations in the spheres of influence of natural areas where we work.
